ARKANSAS LIFE!!!

So, it's been a few days now...

The rental home we are in is quaint, but nice...  The only one really missing TV is Juliet, but we bought a few videos to help her out...  The dogs are noticeably calmer, seeing as they can always lay down near us...  They also like the big, new yard to run around in...  There are a few cats in the area that have bolted at first sight of us, but no escape attempts yet...

We took a sight-seeing trip yesterday, and found some amazing places...  Lots of stores that called themselves, "Antiques and Collectables", that sold a little bit of everything, from movies to pots and pans, to just about everything else...  Cristy's mom will go nuts when she sees all these stores!!!

We also saw the actual "Mammoth Spring", that the town was named for...  It is the start of the river that runs by our house... Juliet enjoyed seeing all the water, and feeding the ducks and geese.

We can't wait to get into our new house for so many reasons...  Cristy said she would actually like to read many of the books she called "crazy" when we were in VA.  Canning, food preserving, gardening, country living...  There will be lots to do there, year round...  Gardening in the spring, summer, fall; exploring year round; crafts/quilting; and of course, about a year's worth of unpacking!!!

So, with plenty of local "flavor", our homestead and log cabin, and all the peace and quiet in the world, I wish we had started this journey years ago...  While the trip to Greece is necessary financially, it's also a year between me and "Happily Ever After"...

Once we are settled in, all of our friends are welcome to come visit us out here...  Bring the kids and some clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty!  We have a great real estate agent if you're interested in staying longer!!!

"Good Bye, City Life...
Green Acres, We Are There!!!"
