Sometimes we get so wrapped up in what we feel we "have" to do that we forget all about the things we "want" to do.
Because of my wonderful husband, I am in the unique position of getting to stay home this year with Juliet in our new dream home. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in having to clean things up (a toddler, 3 dogs and a cat running around, it can get real messy, real quick) or what I still need to unpack, etc. that I forget to stop and enjoy all the wonderful things around me.
So today I decided, no stressing, no worrying, no feeling bad about what I did or didn't do. Today we are going to enjoy this amazing place that we call home.
After packing up some snacks, drinks and towels we suited up and headed down to the river to cool off and splash around and it was a lot of fun.

Fresh from the farm....
Here's Juliet eating some fresh off the farm cantaloupe......oh, not off our farm but a local grower :).
(we do have some small watermelons coming in though, fingers crossed :)

Banana Smoothie
Sometimes getting Juliet to eat breakfast (or any meal for that matter) can be trying. Usually if she won't eat, offering up a banana smoothie does the trick.
Now with summer in full swing wanting ice cream or anything cold is something Juliet wants most days. Insert: Banana smoothie pop.
We love bananas but if we don't eat them fast enough they get over-ripe. Instead of getting rid of them we're now blending the banana, yogurt and milk into a nice cold banana smoothie pop and Juliet is in love with them-and I don't mind her eating them.
For an after dinner treat, I made some that we're a little bigger and for some fun color and taste mixed in a little Hershey's Strawberry syrup.
Yay healthy pops!

Bullies
Two of the smallest chickens found their way into the guineas and started bullying them around. Guess that's the pecking order at work.
And a pic of our rooster. It's hard to get a good picture of him but he's a beautiful guy.

Teeny tiny.......
Here is a teeny tiny carrot that we dug up. It's little, but it's a carrot none the less! Juliet enjoyed eating it right after she gobbled up a fresh tomato.
THAT'S a can crusher!
My new can crusher made by our friend who helps us out on the homestead. This thing is a crushes cans like nobody's business. Made easy work of this recycle bin full of cans.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to my loving husband, my great Dad and all the other Father's out there that do so much for their families.
Our Water Baby
Juliet is having a blast going to the pool this summer. Give the girl her little inner tube and she's off and swimming.
