Daycare Today

On our way!

Breakdancing Baby

Little chilly this morning. I love this first picture, Juliet looks like she's busting a move!

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Well, I had to post this!

Orange you glad it's Wednesday?

Juliet had a late shower so her hair is all flat here, lol.

Ready for a nap!

All boxed up and ready to go....

Just imagine....

Imagine if we had more than 2 days..........

Two Days

It's amazing what two days can do. I wish these pictures could do justice to the amount of goods we received from people. We received so much stuff, we are I awe.

In order to make things easier we sorted clothes (men/women/boy/girl/baby) and wrapped stacks of them in clear bags with big labels.

Now I get to start packing it all up to ship out. It's exhausting but I'm so happy for the people who will be receiving it.

Thank you to everyone involved in this, for helping, for supporting, for well wishing and even if you just followed along on the blog, I knew you were there wishing me luck.

Sorting

Just got done sorting what we have so far. Not too bad for one day. Hoping to get more tomorrow morning then getting it boxed up to send out.

So far!

We've gotten more than enough to fill our box and we're still going. As hard as it was, I went through Juliet's baby clothes and brought as many as I could in. We got maternity clothes, BAGS of shoes, one person went and bought all different sizes of flip flops. Pajamas, boys clothes, diapers, and we're not done yet!

I talked to a lady in the office down the hall. She's going to bring in a bunch of her sons old stuff and also email all the parents of his baseball team to see if any of them have items to give.

I'm so excited that we've gotten this much! This afternoon we're going to start sorting and folding.

People can be so amazing! Thank you to everyone.

More to come!

Looking cute.....

And running away from me.

By tomorrow....

By tomorrow, I expect this box to be overflowing!

For a good cause

I know many of you are far away and probably can't help, but it never hurts to ask.
One of the employees where I work has a sister that lives in Alabama, in an area that was devastated by the recent tornados. They are still without power and many are without basic necessities such as clothes and shoes. (Please see below)
"I spoke to my sister and she said that the town members are in need of everything!
She has been working at the church and shelter for the last few days and said they have an overwhelming amount of people coming in for clothes, shoes etc.. Lee just got power back last night/this morning and so she's making food for the power crews that have come from other states and even washing their clothes now too. She said that we will be in shock when we see her town. Lee and family were blessed to only have damage to their office and they are now doing all they can to help others. "
Our office is doing a clothes drive of sorts to collect clothes/shoes/baby items (such as diapers, wet wipes) and any/all other necessites. These items need not be new, as long as they are in good condition and clean (as they are unable to wash items).
If you have any items that you are willing to give, please send them to:
Lee Adams
1329 Country Road 1169
Cullman, AL 35057
These items will be taken to the curch and distributed to the families in need.  If you can't donate, please just remember these people in your prayers.  As a mother, I can't even imagine what it must be like to have everything you own ripped away from you, literally in a matter of minutes.  To not have clean clothes to put your baby in or shoes to put on your feet.
Wish us luck on our first ever MERCER clothes drive! :)
Thanks,
Cristy
