Finished Project

I'm not a big scrapbooker but used scrapbooking paper for this project. Juliet and I had lots of fun doing this together and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I think it makes the kitchen look much more country and homey.

The Project

Label kitchen canisters and clean up (before & after)

Crafting

Having a fun afternoon doing some crafting and letting Juliet use my paper scissors. She's ready to craft her little heart out.

Drawing & Crafting

It's so hot out right now that I'm trying to find things for us to do inside where we can stay cool.

Here's Juliet doing some drawing while Mommy does some crafting.

Nesting

Walking out onto the porch today I was dive-bombed by a little bird who flew out of a box meant to go into the trash.

I flipped the lid open to find that the little bird had turned my trash into a home. There was a little nest with four eggs.

Sorry little birdie, I will leave you and your little ones alone.

Our little Dancing Queen

Juliet pulled out a new pair of shoes that she deemed her "dancing shoes". Once those were on, she insisted on a dancing dress as well. Over a year ago I bought her this little leotard that fit the bill. She spent the rest of the afternoon tapping and twirling down the hall.

Star Wars PJ's ROCK!

A heart for Daddy

Juliet made this heart just for her Daddy.

I love you Daddy!

Happy 4th of July Daddy!

Hi Daddy, Happy 4th of July! I made you a yummy Play-Doh pizza.

Popsicle = Keeping it cool!

Dancing Shoes

After putting sandals on Juliet she took them off and insisted on her "dancing shoes"? A pair of glittery gold little shoes a friend passed down to us. She wouldn't do any dancing in them but kept them on all day long :)

My little baby

Ok, she's not a baby any more, but when I went to check on her, she was sound asleep curled up behind the glider chair. So cute. I keep finding her there. I guess it's like her little fort.

True Farm Life

I won't go into details, but here is the life cycle of a bred for meat chicken.

I don't know that I would do it again, but it was a good learning experience. For now, I'll stick with keeping around the egg layers.

BRAVE!

After church we were invited to go see the new movie Brave with another family. I wasn't sure Juliet would like it (she's only been to a movie theater once before), and I didn't know how long she'd last with no nap.

As usual, she was amazing. She really had a great time watching the movie (kept asking where the pirates from the first movie theater movie we saw were, lol) and while a little restless at the end, made it through the whole thing (and promptly crashed two minutes after getting in the car).

It was a long but fun day.

My and my pillow

Here's Juliet all ready for church.....she insisted she be allowed to bring this pillow, lol.
